When? October 15
Why? New Moon (dark)
UPDATE (OCT-5) (original article will resume below)
As reported on ZeroHedge.com, “This will be one of the only times in history when the US has had three aircraft carriers in close proximity to [Iran]”. The U.S. aircraft carrier CVN-74 Stennis had silently left its shore leave early and has been headed toward the Arabian Sea to join up with the aircraft carrier group CVN-65 Enterprise and the CVN-69 Eisenhower off the coast of Iran. Let that sink in for a moment… THREE aircraft carrier groups together. That is A-LOT of firepower.
The USS John C. Stennis apparently left port on Monday, Oct-1, and will likely join up with the others after its approximate 2-week journey. A typical cruising speed of 20 knots will bring it there around October 14, more or less. Interesting isn’t it?

It should come as no surprise to those following the news of the Middle East that tensions between Israel and Iran are at an all time high.
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “is determined to attack Iran before the US elections,” Israel’s Channel 10 News claimed on Monday night, and Israel is now “closer than ever” to a strike designed to thwart Iran’s nuclear drive. [www.timesofisrael.com]
Iran unveiled upgrades to six weapons on Tuesday, including a more accurate short-range missile, Iranian media reported. “This missile is one of the most precise and advanced land-to-land ballistic missiles using solid fuel,” Iran says it could hit Israel and U.S. bases in the region if it comes under attack. Israeli leaders reportedly fear that Barrack Obama stands a reasonable chance of getting re-elected in November, and would then be unconstrained and a political liability to them, who see him as the harshest critic of Israel – ever, in the White House.
Ahmadinejad and Iran have been developing nuclear capabilities (for supposed non-military use) for years, and he has been fairly clear on his intent to rid the Middle East of Israel. Although some believe this is purely rhetoric, Israel apparently does not.
While various cyber-attacks against Iran’s nuclear program have slowed down their progress, they evidently have not stopped it. If Israel truly wishes to defend itself against the Iranian threat of destruction, it may choose to act now, before the November presidential elections in the U.S.
Most modern day surprise attack warfare now occurs at night, in darkness, taking advantage of high-tech imaging and reducing the likelihood of ground based systems to visually see aircraft. The darkest of nights occur during a new moon. During October the new moon falls on the 15th.
IF such an attack were to occur, expect OIL prices to skyrocket, at least temporarily. The probability of others being drawn into the fight will be HIGH. We’re talking about Russia, China, and the U.S., perhaps indirectly at first… but who’s to say what the heat of war may bring next…
The Middle East has been in turmoil seemingly forever, but now more than ever. We all know the commodity that resides under the sand there which raises the stakes of battle. Could an Israeli attack spiral the regions conflict out of control? If it does, are you prepared for the consequences? Could this be the ‘October surprise’?
Risk awareness. Be aware and be prepared.
