Executive Orders Are Blueprint For Takeover?
President Obama has signed 139 Executive Orders to date during his Administration. Many of them, including previous EO’s such as the following list from ‘The Western Center For Journalism’, appear to be a blueprint for the takeover by the government (White House), entirely bypassing Congress.
A recent summary of the list from ‘Canada Free Press’ says, By declaring that “international tensions and economic or financial crisis” or a “national emergency” exists,
puts all powers of governance in the hands of one man, the President.
The current sitting president is by no means the only one having implemented many executive orders. Both parties are ‘guilty’ of such actions. It does make one wonder why so much of it is necessary (?), given our form of government as it was originally intended. It ‘seems’ to be eroding the intentions of the founders of this nation.
* Executive Order 10990 allows the Government to take over all modes of transportation and control of highways and seaports.
* Executive Order 10995 allows the government to seize and control the communication media.
* Executive Order 10997 allows the government to take over all electrical power, gas, petroleum, fuels, and minerals.
* Executive Order 11000 allows the government to mobilize civilians into work brigades under government supervision.
* Executive Order 11001 allows the government to take over all health education and welfare functions.
* Executive Order 11002 designates the Postmaster General to operate a national registration of all persons.
* Executive Order 11003 allows the government to take over all airports and aircraft, including commercial aircraft.
* Executive Order 11004 allows the Housing and Finance Authority to relocate and establish new locations for populations.
* Executive Order 11005 allows the government to take over railroads, inland waterways, and public storage facilities.
* Executive Order 11049 assigns emergency preparedness function to federal departments and agencies, consolidating 21 operative Executive Orders issues over a fifteen-year period.
* Executive Order 11051 specifies the responsibility of the Office of Emergency Planning and gives authorization to put all Executive Orders into effect in times of increased international tensions and economic or financial crisis.
* Executive Order 11310 grants authority to the Department of Justice to enforce the plans set out in Executive Orders, to institute Industrial support, to establish judicial and legislative liaison, to control all aliens, to operate penal and correctional institutions, and to advise and assist the President.
* Executive Order 11921 allows the Federal Emergency Preparedness Agency to develop plans to establish control over the mechanisms of production and distribution of energy sources, wages, salaries, credit, and the flow of money in U.S. financial institutions in any undefined national emergency. It also provides that when the president declares a state of emergency, Congress cannot review the action for six months.
Remember this? A Homeland Security Department study, “Hot Spots of Terrorism and Other Crimes in the United States 1970-2008”, listed Americans who are “fiercely nationalistic”, “suspicious of centralized federal authority” and “reverent of individual liberty” as potential terrorists.

BO can pass all the executive orders he wants, but methinks it’s gonna be a pain in the Biden for him to enforce them against a tsunami of ticked-off Americans. Obama really has no idea how much of a backlash there will be if he tries to grab a Chavez-like level of power or worse.
Don’t forget about 10998 which gives the government the power to confiscate all food and farms.
Also the National defense order gives them the right to confiscate anything they deem necessary for defense of the country. So what if they decide that the government needs your weapons?
Any order given to confiscate persons or belongings to the military during times of declared martial law is then a “lawful” order and must be followed.
Or how about if they decide to “relocate” you. Do you really think they will wait and let you take your guns? So I guess we are back to the discussion about how they will take your guns away… It looks to me that the framework is there.
You should clarify, however, that President Obama issued none of those orders on the list. The first 11 were issued by JFK, the next one after that by LBJ, and the last by President Ford.
I have clarified this, and was originally somewhat duped with the original content (who-what-when). Having said that, the EO’s themselves are apparently accurate, and regardless of ‘who’ or the party that they represent, it seems to me that this form of governance is out of line with the original framework of this nation. The current sitting president, in theory, could enforce any or all of them – although will hopefully be met with much resistance.
EXECUTIVE ORDERS ISSUED…
Teddy Roosevelt 3
Others to FDR NONE
FDR 11 in 16 years
Truman 5 in 7 years
Ike 2 in 8 years
Kennedy 4 in 3 years
LBJ 4 in 5 years
Nixon 1 in 6 years
Ford 3 in 2 years
Carter 3 in 4 years
Reagan 5 in 8 years
Bush 3 in 4 years
Clinton 15 in 8 years
George W. Bush 62 in 8 years
Obama 923 in 3 1/2 years!
The words “power hungry” come to mind in looking at those numbers.
Reminds me of a spoiled teenager. The parents (congress) says no you can not do that and the teenager (Obama) does it anyway behind their backs by way of executive orders.
Its a real disappointment that in our goal to fight tyranny that we allow ourselves to not read the facts. I appreciate that Ken has taken the time to link the Executive Orders Disposition Tables I think it would be mighty helpful of us to READ it. It makes us preparedness minded folks look bad by spouting media rhetoric Liberal or Conservative. In order to go about things the proper way we need to have the facts. Becoming educated on what we are fighting for or against and not just what others tell us to fight for goes a long way in getting people on board. Be the smart ones don’t buy in.
@Andi; Are you married? LOL…just kidding. Yeah, read and understand what the issues are. USE YOUR BRAIN! Use critical thinking skills. Therein lies the problem. WE (you) don’t have any (the general you) critical thinking skills and the general populace at large has a “commercial” mentality. They don’t really know what’s happening in the REAL world. We NEED to understand what it is that we know to be wrong and be able to articulate it. Think, then speak, then do. Nuff said. Survive well. Enjoy.
Wow. The phrase “run to the hills” doesn’t sound too silly. I pray that the people or majority of people in this country are still patriotic enough to stand up to this BS. It seems too many are too worried about Kim Kardashian or even sports (sorry guys) than the state of their country. Its ok to have a little fun but right now we need to be aware of things going on around us and prepared for what lies ahead. Some just don’t care.
People speak of the near future and “stuff” hitting the fan, and so on. They seem to assume that now is more or less normal, but some Big Thing might happen in the future – a singularity – a sudden “take-over”, the employment of infernal machines, horrible violence, etc. But, well, what if “it” is not sudden? History suggests to some that tides rise slowly – ask the boiled frog. I remember when Truman beat Dewey, my great(Quaker!)grandfathers fought in the civil war as “child soldiers”; I heard the stories of the West at my grandmother’s knee, and I can say with considerable assurance that now is not normal. Not normal at all.
And consider the possibility that “they” may be doing the best they can according to the way they see both now and the forecast-future. I’m not saying they’re right or that their forecasts are correct, just that the obvious contingency plans may be reasonable in their view. They may dislike these plans as much as everybody else would, but see them as necessary. Class interests would skew their actions and their view, but that’s normal and natural, inescapable.
Many say that mankind is already in a Malthusian die-off. What if they’re right? How would one both manage populations under such circumstances and feed the interests of the ruling class at the same time? They’d have to do both or the ruling class would get somebody else. Any attempt to follow normal constitutional legal and moral precepts would be silly, doomed to fail. The situation would be unique.
I suggest that the overall problem to-day may be that human morality, which is largely genetic and only partly learned, cannot provide any useful frame for reasonable action by which mankind and his governmental institutions can cope with what man is faced with – a situation defined by a 14,000 year “policy” of growth in a finite environment. We are, many say, in a kind of end-time.
Ends imply beginnings – commencements. Being lucky and adaptable is what individuals need. That and a strong dose of love.
Oh they care all right. The real problem is that they have no clue about any of this. The media has become an appendage of the DNC and will do anything to cover up the truth about the ineptness or corruption of a democrat but will crucify a conservative at the drop of a hat. The people have no clue, otherwise there is no way Obama would have any semblance of a lead or even tied for that matter. The people have been brainwashed by the liberal media. The people must be informed and educated as to truth.
@don;
I think you’re right about how ‘not normal’ things are already. I believe we are already into a collapse, and a lot of people are in survival situations now. It isn’t going to ‘start happening’ sometime in the near future, it’s already here.
I have wondered how ‘not normal’ things really are…. The problem is one of perspective and how to achieve it. In a fluid environment where things change all the time, it’s hard to keep track of ‘the way things were’ in any meaningful way.
I am haunted, however, by what I would see if I were able to return to about 1985 and feel the difference, if you will….
We are already in die-off mode. The dying hasn’t really begun just yet.
@all, I have been getting a-lot of ‘hate’ mail (I ‘hate’ that word
) regarding this article. I should’ve known it would touch off hard-core beliefs and opinion, being political and all… plus, evidently the source of the original numbers is apparently not accurate – I should’ve dug deeper on this one.
While I am neither a Republican or Democrat, I maintain my position that EO’s can, have-been, and are, being abused. The method presents too easy of a short-cut at implementing law. It is essentially a ‘dictatorship’ type of thing… in my opinion.
Many of the nasty email’s that I have received on this accuse me of Obama bashing, and they point out how previous presidents have done their share of EO’s. The thing is, in my opinion, it seems to me that the current administration’s focus on many of their EO’s have been (or will be ) damaging to our constitutional rights as Americans. This, coupled with the behemoth DHS gov’t organization and their own attacks on our liberties and freedoms, gives cause for great concern (in my opinion).
This has nothing to do with Democan or Republicrat (they are mostly the same you know…) and instead has to do with the ‘actions’ that I see taking place.
Anyway, I know that MSB has a variety of readers of differing political opinions, and I do appreciate being called-out if you believe facts are incorrect. After all, I’m not a professional journalist… just a guy with a blog site. I simply have a hot-button when it comes to encroachment on our freedoms and liberties. We are NOT the same country it once was, that is for sure.
By the way, here is the ‘official’ government link to Executive Orders…
http://www.archives.gov/federal-register/executive-orders/disposition.html
@Ken; You’re absolutely right about EOs being abused. And they have been abused most recently by Clinton, GW Bush and now Obama. They are nothing more than “creeping despotism” coming into our government. The fact that Obama has abused them even more is not political nor is it Obama bashing, per se. It is just a fact. The unfortunate thing about our system of jurisprudence is that UNTIL there is a direct legal conflict of an EO with some other legislation, it will never be struck down. The only remedy to this is that congress specifically limit the EO via amendment. Until the good of the country comes ahead of the egos of politicians, then…..well, I guess never mind!!! Survive well. Enjoy.
Try going on Facebook and saying anything negative about George Bush (just an example), then say something negative about Obama and see the reaction you will get. It is fascinating our enamored people are with this man Obama. They don’t even know about his policies and what he is doing to our country. They cannot name hardly anything he is actually done. They of course name generalizations. They will say what he says in his commercials. Look at his youtube videos of what he says about Christianity. It’s under Obama mocking God. Not Obama bashing when the truth is plaining out there and coming from HIS mouth and HIS hand signing things. Read his autobiography, very telling. It’s all in the open!
People just don’t want to face the truth.
If people would look outside the box, they would see that Gore, Bush, Obama, or Rommy Mitt are just puppets on a string. What they say before & after is telling. What they all would have done is different than when they are told to do! These are faces we can hate or love, just like WWF wrestling, except its three rings at once. Most of these countries have dictators more or less that are told how high to jump and when. Is ours really any different? Cause why? You think your vote actually counted?
The land of the free (not).
Sort of makes you think if bugging in is a good idea.
After all you could be forcibly moved.
Yet if you don’t leave now, you could find yourself half way down the road, no car, forced labour, and no where to go.
Bit of a dilemma with the forecast financial collapse looming.
Young vigorous healthy people can simply walk off into the forest, at least in the western portion of the country. Tough? You bet! But small groups can make things work alright. The real difficulties are social conflict and ignorance of woodcraft skills. Take a toothbrush. Think Ishi…and stay out of sight. You can’t fight and win. I once met a French Canadian who had done just this – been out alone for several years (possibly dodging the cops?). There are still trappers, too. Apprentice yourself? They sometimes stay out for a winter season in the snow. And those sheepherders – I hear they can’t find young people to do that work anymore. There are no comfortable alternatives.
@don; I’m going to have to disagree with you there don. There’s not 1 in 1000 that can do that. My son was a Ranger and I was in a special unit and I can tell you that there are VERY few old school survivors, even there. Oh, yeah, we send them to survival schools, temperate, arctic and jungle, but they don’t know crap. If you aren’t raised there AND have learned to be self sufficient in a “native” sort of way…you will not survive unless VERY well supplied. And even then it will be hard, very hard. If you have food, how will you cook it? You can see smoke for 20 miles and you can smell cooked food for miles during the day. You can see the fire at night for many miles and again the smell. To me surviving is not sitting in a cave and eating worms from under the rocks. Surviving is living in a home and having a garden, rabbits, chickens, pigeons and maybe goats or a pig or two. Being warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Having water, fire and light and a comfortable place to sleep. It also means having enough ammo and firearms to defend it with enough like minded souls. Just sayin’. Of the people that THINK they can survive in that environment, there are prolly 5 out of a 100 that will! This is why I don’t recommend BOing. You should have a plan in place for survival, in advance!!! Survive well. Enjoy.
I agree that not one in a thousand, (actually one in 100,000?) can walk out into the woods. Ishi was born to it, and he couldn’t do it after 40… Still, a few people, young people, may find a sheepherder’s or trapper’s camp workable. It’s for the very few. Personally, for myself, I have grave doubt about the efficacy of guns. They can be useful in some circumstances and I have no agenda about them per se, but depending on violence, even in defense, is very problematic. Gunfights have bad outcomes. This is not to say that the mere existence of guns does not have value – it does, and the .22 can bring home a lot of game, and it’s fairly quiet. In actual fact I live now about as you describe, and it’s too much work for an old man. And yes, the senses will reveal a “neighbor” many miles away. Smoke, smell usually, and the dogs hear. The real value of dogs in not knowable to city dwellers, I think. We actually think of this communication system as “the bio-net” – all the critters are aware of one another almost all the time, including us. As to survival – the boffins say that, well, read wiki, it’s speculative, but reasonable http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Population_bottleneck . Anyway, just my opinion, but I think, for most people, perhaps all, survival in a Malthusian frame (and I think that’s where we are)is probably an illusion, mostly a matter of luck. That, however, is not a reason to fail to try. Pax
@don; You are correct about 1:100,000, I was merely trying to be deferential about the number. Survival of “hunter gatherers” depends on family/group support. I imagine the only reason Ishi came out of the wilderness was loneliness. Though he was 49-ish when that occurred I think he was still capable of surviving in HIS context of that. All the labor that we take for granted has to be performed by the group and has certain value to it. If I need cordage, I go to my 1000′ roll of para-cord and cut some off. In the wilderness, you make it yourself. You make your clothing, gather/hunt your food, build your shelter, make all your tools etc. You know from birth what can be eaten and when it is edible and how to find it. Life is simple and hard. I don’t know if luck is too involved with the actual survival. Of course we are all subject to the whims of life in general, but I think the “prepared” will have more “luck” surviving than those not prepared. Sure, no matter how well prepared you are, if you live within 100 miles of Yellowstone and it erupts, oh well, tough “luck”. Of course when you say “for MOST people…mostly a matter of luck”, yeah, you’re prolly right on the money about the survival or lack thereof. I agree with you about not using it as an excuse to not even try. I get so tired of hearing about “why would you even WANT to live after that?” Okay, if that’s the way they want it then just lay down in the fetal position and die, just don’t plan on me joining you is all I have to say to those types of people. Enjoyed your comments. Survive well. Enjoy.
Oh yeah – “EO” is a bit misleading, like much language today. The proper term might be “ukase” (“rule by decree”, a Russian word, I think…)
A big thank you for this! R
Come on people! You’ve all been duped. Executive order 11000 was issued by John F. Kennedy in 1962. Executive order 11912 was issued by Gerald R Ford in 1976. Yet, you people are saying its all Obama.
STOP BEING DUPED!
Obama has issued 147 executive orders.

Just waiting for all of it to fall apart, that is when you will see the citizens of the USA that are loyal to the Constitution, take their arms and take this country back from the elitist’s.This is not the country that I grew up in,the prez is a leftist socialist, that is surrounded by his leftist socialist and criminal czars, they are his influence, and partners in his trying to tear this country apart.Keep your eyes open, your ears pricked, and your powder dry.
