First aid kits can be assembled with a wide variation of contents, supplies and equipment, all for use in giving first aid.

First aid kits may be made up of different contents based on a specific purpose or focus, as well as requirements based on an area where it may be used.

The most basic contents include first aid supplies to help stop bleeding, and may contain some medicines. Many kits often come in plastic boxes, fabric pouches or in wall mounted cabinets.

A well-stocked first aid kit will help you to be better prepared for emergencies and natural disasters, so keep a first aid kit in your home, in your car, and in your workplace. Carry a first aid kit with you if you venture out camping, hiking, boating, or other outdoor activities too.

We never know when an emergency can occur.

How did we determine what are the best First Aid Kits? We looked at the following criteria…

We only looked at First Aid Kits that were available on Amazon.com (because of the availability of reviews and ratings there).

We based a kit’s use and effectiveness on ratings and popularity as this reflects the opinion of a cross-section of users.

We used the number of overall reviews per product (which reflect a product’s popularity).

We used the number of reviews in each rating category.

We also factored the percentage of ‘good’ reviews as well as ‘bad’ reviews as a percentage of overall reviews.
Good = 3, 4, 5-Star ratings
Bad = 1, 2-Star ratings

The logic is that the First Aid Kits with the least percentage of poor reviews coupled with the overall number of good reviews would provide a better overall indicator of a product’s rating.

Note that there are certainly many First Aid Kits available from beyond just Amazon and their suppliers, so do your due-diligence if you wish to dig deeper…
