Dog Compassion and Loyalty after Tsunami
April 12, 2011, Submitted by: Ken TweetMore than 10 million viewers have already seen this incredible video of a compassionate and protective pet dog after the tsunami in Japan, but in the event that you haven’t, it’s worth 2 minutes of your time to have a look.
Watch the video and then put it in context with your own day-to-day lives, worries, and stresses. It tugs the heart-strings.

You can’t get any more ‘survival’ oriented than that. It is eye-opening to watch the behavior of animals – often so similar to you and I. I just hope that they were helped.

I just thought I’d let you know that , as I understand, both dogs were
rescued. The pair were rescued by vets from Japan Earthquake Animal
Rescue and Support. The tan and white spaniel was taken to a shelter in
Mito while its injured mate is being treated by a vet in the same
town.
A happy ending indeed

Saw on CNN tonight the awful dilemma of these poor dogs in the evacuation zone of the Fukushima disaster and this one dog chained and left to die, ribs showing and starving. Dogs cannot take as much radiation as humans and most of these dogs are probably going to die from radiation sickness unless someone rescues these animals soon. I cannot understand anyone not taking their pets with them no matter what when a disaster occurs. If you have a pet then they should be considered part of your family, and if you do not feel this way then you should find someone else for your pet that will consider them part of their family. There are probably those pets that are running wild whose owners were either killed or hurt too badly to care for their pets. Then there are those people that simply consider an animal a piece of property. I sure hope that some good kinder higher force will have the mercy and compassion to somehow help all these animals that are suffering so much.
IS there ANY way to find out what happened to the 2 dogs in this video?? If I were that videoographer…I would have MOST DEFINITELY taken them…tried to clean them up, whatever,…just as anyone would do for a human being! My God…I just hope someone had enough compassion to do something for these two animals!!! Especially after that heartwrenching display of feelings..and emotions!
