Open-forum. Voice your opinions, Q&A, what you did this week…

The most read new article from this past week was “EMP – Can This Happen?”. Fortunately it has not happened (yet), and there are lots of opinions regarding the plausibility of such an event. It sure gets you to thinking about worst-case-scenario preparedness…

Its hard to believe there’s only one week left in July – where is this summer going? Never seems to be enough time to get in all the projects that I want to… 😉

Okay, lets hear from you:

Some of what I did for preparedness this week:

Since we make our own bread from flour that we mill from wheat berries (yummy AND healthy), Mrs.J went through another 5-gallon pail so we ordered a bunch more to add to the stack (from Augason Farms, one of our long time vendor sponsors). Should be arriving this week…

I spent the entirety of my free time this past week while continuing work on this particular phase of my solar panel project. I now have half of them (6 of 12) successfully mounted on the ground mount design that I came up with. I poured the footings for the next ground mount frame last evening and hope to erect another set of 3 panels this afternoon if it doesn’t rain too hard… although I might do it anyway and test out the old raincoat.

Submit your own picture:
I’ve had several readers request that I allow others to email their pictures so that I can include them during this weekly post. I’m willing to give it a try for those who are interested to show us what you’re up to and/or the ‘fruits of your labor’. I can’t promise if and when I’ll get around to adding them to the comment section below, but we’ll see how it goes.

Here’s how to do it:
Choose and email just one picture (per weekly post) with a description of what it’s about. Provide the name or alias that you wish me to publicly credit the image if it gets posted.
Email to ModernSurvivalBlog (at) hush.com
Subject line – use the following format: Picture from (your name or alias).
