A few weeks ago: The only thing that Sampson was doing for preparedness was sleeping in the truck while I fished…

This weekly post is an open forum (any topic) enabling you to voice your opinions, concerns, questions, and to also let others know what you have done this week for your preparedness. The more who comment, the more ideas that are spread around for the benefit of all…

If you’re a ‘lurker’, lets hear from you too…

As if we need more reasons to be prepared…

This week Obama sent the USS Lassen (a destroyer) to the South China Sea to test China’s resolve over their 12-nautical-mile territorial limits of their ‘artificial islands’ there, provoking a Chinese guided-missile destroyer and a naval patrol ship which shadowed them and gave warnings… A subsequent statement from China reads, “Cast iron facts show that time and again the United States recklessly uses force and starts wars, stirring things up where once there was stability, causing the bitterest of harm to those countries directly involved,”

All the while Obama continues to ratchet up the tension this week with Russia as he has flip-flopped and is now sending some troops (boots on the ground) to Syria and has authorized deploying A-10s and F-15 aircraft to the Incirlik air base in Turkey…

And if that’s not enough, this week it was announced that NATO may be sending thousands more troops on the border with Russia in Poland and placed under formal alliance command… (Imagine if Russia placed thousands of troops on the US border in Mexico? Would that not be a bit provoking?)

It seems that this man really wants to spark an ‘incident’ – which will lead to nowhere good.

All one has to do is read the news beyond the US mainstream media propaganda, and you will discover plenty more reasons to prepare.

With that said, what you have been doing this week for your preparedness?

Mrs.J had wanted to increase some of our freeze-dried food storage, so it was ordered, received and inventoried this week. We also found out that Sampson (our mini-Dachshund) LOVES freeze-dried green beans as snack food (in freeze-dried form).

We processed some more trees this week (and will be doing more today following this post).

I ordered and received my holographic sight this week (from EOTech) for my AR… What an awesome improvement! Hope to have time to sight it in today. Picked up some more 5.56 at the local shop…

The rest of my week was more or less regular chores, some maintenance around the house and other such things…

Your turn:
