What did you do for your preparedness this week? (2016-03-05)

March 5, 2016, by Ken Jorgustin

This weekly post is open-forum (any topic) enabling you to voice your opinions, concerns, questions, and to also let others know what you have done this week for your preparedness.
The more who comment, the more ideas that are spread around for the benefit of all…

We had some great comments and interaction this week with the article “Assets That Will Matter After The End Of The World As We Know It” as well as “Be Prepared For Unprepared People”. Actually, there was good discussion surrounding all this week’s articles – thanks for voicing your opinions and taking the time to post…

Here’s your ‘open-forum’ chance to let the rest of us know what’s on your mind:

A few things that I’ve done this week for preparedness:

Added to the dry-goods stack of buckets… Sealed (Mylar & O2 absorbers) four 5-gl buckets consisting of some more white rice and Rye (love to add Rye to Wheat while making bread).

Some cleaning and more organization to the primary food-storage room.

While grocery shopping, purchased the additional canned goods necessary to top off some of the ‘regular’ items that we keep – which we consume and rotate over time…

Made a plan to add four more batteries to the alt-energy battery bank – and the associated space and cables necessary to do so. Rcvd quote from battery distributor to pick up later next week.

Your turn: What have you been up to?
