This weekly post is open-forum (any topic) enabling you to voice your opinions, concerns, questions, and to also let others know what you have done this week for your preparedness.

The more who comment, the more ideas that are spread around for the benefit of all…
Let’s hear from you lurkers…

The most read article of the week was the one on EMP.
The most commented article this week was the tightening circle of liberty.

Regarding the news of the week, I found it interesting how the mainstream has suddenly been planting the seeds of thought regarding a nuclear or ‘dirty bomb’ threat from ‘ISIS’. One recent report sites the possibility of using drones loaded with radioactive material… All I can say is, if and when something like that happens, it’s going to be a shock to ‘the market’ – which will have far reaching affects beyond just ‘the market’…

On that lovely note, what have you done for your preparedness this week?

Remarkably we are just a few votes away from being in the Top-20 of the ‘Top Prepper Sites’ webpage. Having only entered just 2 weeks ago while others have been there for a year – is a good indicator that we’ll go much higher over time…

By visiting the following link and upon entering their site, a vote will automatically register for Modern Survival Blog -although if you’ve voted before it may not register πŸ˜‰ (try it anyway πŸ˜‰ )

Okay, back to what we’ve all done this week…

Although we have an old Presto canner, we decided to buy a better one since we are planning to up our usage especially later this summer and fall. It’s expensive, but probably the best one out there, and should last ‘forever’. Plus we can do double-duty with our old Presto…

We had several days where the temps reached up into the 60’s, so we took advantage of that while taking a few long walks with the dog – who is now all about chasing the chipmunks and red-squirrels that lurk around the various rock walls on the property.

I put together a new ‘project list’ for around the house and started on it… Gotta have projects…

So what have you been up to this week?
