Caught this hummingbird in the act – Nectar Thief…

This weekly post is an open-forum (any topic) to voice your thoughts, opinions, or questions for others. Lets hear about what you’ve been doing this week for preparedness, or perhaps what you have done to convert your ‘fiat’ (paper) currency into tangible assets 😉

The more who comment, the more that’s spread around for the benefit of all…

Note: For all other articles during the week, we ask that you stay on-topic. But when you feel like commenting about anything else (e.g. a current event, something that you wish to bring to everyone’s attention, ‘anything’ off-topic, etc..), this ‘Weekly Preparedness’ open-forum article is where you should put it.

Note: You can read the most recent (150) comments from this site on the ‘Discussion’ page.

The blackberries are in season here and we have ‘tons’ of them scattered all around the property. Picked a bunch of them and now ready to make blackberry jam!

Note: It’s amazing the natural foods that you might find by simply walking around and looking. I also discovered several mature apple trees (currently loaded with apples) on our property which I had no idea were here (still exploring the vast reaches while not having lived here that long yet 😉 ). In fact, while driving around the area the other day we noticed countless apple trees all over the place loaded with product… which is good to know just-in-case SHTF. Find the natural food sources in your area.
