What did you do for your preparedness this week? (2016-10-01)

October 1, 2016, by Ken Jorgustin

This weekly post is an open-forum (any topic) to voice your thoughts, opinions, or questions for others. Lets hear about what you’ve been doing this week for preparedness, or perhaps what you have done to convert your ‘fiat’ (paper) currency into tangible assets ๐Ÿ˜‰

The more who comment, the more that’s spread around for the benefit of allโ€ฆ

Note: We appreciate that you stay on-topic with your article comments during the week. However for any ‘off topic’ comments, use the most recent Saturday open-forum article,
‘What did you do for your preparedness this week?’

Note: Read the most recent (150) comments (from all articles) on the ‘Discussion’ page.

Since we had a hard frost last week, we harvested whatever was left in the garden (potatoes, corn, squash, and all the remaining green tomatoes).

Picked up a few cases of canned chicken (the price was right) to add to the deep pantry.

Note: An advantage to keeping a deep pantry is that you can wait to buy on sale, or when there’s a good price, thus saving money…

Ordered another dozen of my favorite daily-wear socks.

Note: Your feet are one of your most important assets, so take care of them!

Interesting Product Of The Week:
Esbit 1300-Degree Smokeless Solid Fuel Tablets

Seems like a great fire-starter for a kit, BOB, etc., and will be adding to my ‘buy’ list.
