The following survival preparedness survey checklist is from information of the latest revision LDS Survival Preparedness Manual. If one looks for them, there are lots of lists out there, and they are all worth reading because any one of them might inspire a new idea.

the 2012 LDS Preparedness Manual, which they have printed at cost.

The latest (2012) preparedness manual is more than 500 pages long. Author Christopher Parrett says, “This version represents the single largest update ever made over the last 15 years, more than “doubling” the total size and content of the manual!”

  1. Have always heard that the LDS have a preparedness plan that is even better than some nations plans . On some of their recommendations I have followed to a “T” , on others I have done what I can afford . I do what I can with each check I get . Be prepared and ready.Keep your powder dry.

  2. Just because “LDS” is in the title doesn’t mean it is sanctioned by the LDS church. The checklist may be inspired from LDS members who create such information for the public’s use, but that it. For information sanctioned by the LDS church, go to http://providentliving.org.

  3. I think that this is a very good article and having books is very important. I’m a jack of all trades yet I have Carpentry, Woodworking, Plumbing, Electrical and a few other books on HOW TO. What if I was killed in action or otherwise not their to supervise construction? These books will in the least give others in my group a set of guidelines to go by. granted after TSHTF some of these books might not help in the beginning but you never know what problems you may face so I have a good library set back for this event.
