I live in the UK and our gun laws etc are very different to many other country's, I live out in the country 30 miles from the city, 5 from the small town. As time goes by the need for self protection becomes more urgent. I would be pleased to hear some ideas from other preps that would be helpful, thanks. Stay safe people. Dogs do not have tear ducts like people do so they cannot flush out the pepper as quickly. For this reason canine pepper spray is formulated with a 1 or 2 percent concentration rather than the 10% or more found in conventional sprays. Of course if you're being attacked by a large and vicious dog the last thing you're worried about is it's lack of tear ducts! But if all you need is protection from the neighbors' ankle-nipping Chihuahua then you should consider canine pepper spray. It's more humane and is very effective on dogs.
