Huge Face on the Sun!
December 8, 2010, Submitted by: Ken TweetThere is an incredible “smiley face”, or a face with an expression, on the surface of the sun!
Similar to looking at clouds and seeing recognizable shapes from time to time, at this moment, the sun has a face on it.
Actually, the eyes are sunspots 1133 and 1131, while the mouth is what’s left of the huge magnetic filament of earlier this week.
All three of these features are now facing the Earth.
It has been pretty amazing observing the many recent features on the sun lately, and this one is fairly remarkable.

Look at the right eye (dark blue photo) under a magnifier. Is this the “Grim Reaper”?
Can you tell us, which constellation or part of sky, the sun seems to be looking at?
The Sun was ‘Earth-facing’ at the time of the image capture.
If you look at the left eye of the dark blue image with/without magnification it looks like a white figure on a white horse. That and the reaper image really supports a doomsday prediction
