How To Mix Powdered Milk

We have found Honeyville Grain powdered milk alternative mix to be the best tasting powdered milk so far. It is very cost effective (about half price of purchasing fresh milk). For example if you normally purchase say two gallons per week for your family, this could save you about $200 per year! Every little bit saved, helps the bottom line.
The product is whey-based (the remaining liquid when separated from curd) and contains some coconut oil and corn syrup (presumably to sweeten it a bit). Vitamin A,C, and D content seem similar to other brands as well as the calories and fat content, but be sure to check and compare the labels of whatever you are considering.
Using powdered milk enables you to mix only what you need and therefore you will have less, if any, spoilage, like you might have had if you purchased too much fresh milk. This makes an excellent and recommended addition to your food storage preps. The shelf life is 10 years unopened, and 1 year after opening, although you will drink it way before then!
