Turkey Cooking Time
How Long Do I Cook The Turkey?
The turkey cooking time depends on the oven temperature, whether the turkey is stuffed or not, and how many pounds the turkey weighs.
The following cooking time chart is for an oven temperature of 325 degrees F.
Cooking the turkey low and slow (325) results in a more juicy tender bird (in my opinion).
Here’s how I came up with the cooking time:

Be aware that many ovens are not exact, and may be off by as much as 25-degrees. Use an oven temperature thermometer to verify the accuracy of your oven (widely available).
The only true way to determine if a turkey is safely cooked all the way through, is by measuring the internal temperature of the bird with a meat thermometer.
For an accurate reading, the thermometer should be inserted into the thickest part of a thigh not touching the bone, and also check the center of the breast.
Turkey is done and safe to eat when internal temperature reads 165 degrees F.
The following cooking times have been determined by interpolating and averaging a number of resources including turkey manufacturers-distributors and various cook books. Your results may vary, but I figured that a logical approach of averaging the various recommended cooking times will provide at least a good approximation for you.
Prior to cooking, it is very important to have properly thawed the turkey.
