I happened to be browsing Google Earth for recent earthquakes and was shocked at what I saw as I scrolled over towards Alaska… hundreds of earthquakes… all just in the last 7 days!
Just last night (Friday) residents on Kodiak Island and the Kenai Peninsula were shaken awake at 11:00pm as a 5.9 magnitude earthquake shook the region. The Alaska Earthquake Information Center says the quake was widely felt. The quick jolt occurred 69 miles north of Larsen Bay and 238 miles southwest of Anchorage. It was generated at a depth of 52.1 miles beneath the surface.
Many of the earthquakes have been relatively small, but, the very high number of them is what caught my attention. All in such a short time. There are definitely earth changes a happening in that region and I simply thought you may be interested to know… especially those of you in the northwest. Don’t let your guard down. Remember the Cascadia Fault?
