Lightning & EMP Vehicle Protection – Easy Installation – Peace of Mind

An EMP Shield for your vehicle. It’s excellent insurance. Whether you’re concerned about the potential effects of EMP or Lightning, this easy-to-install surge protection device for your vehicle will help mitigate the issue.

There are no guarantees in life. By that I mean the best we can do is what we think is best. Doing nothing, well, that’s a choice too. With that said, similar to car insurance for theft, break-in, or an accident, such is an EMP Shield surge protection device for your vehicle… except for the effects of an EMP or Lightning. Protecting electronics, computer, and microchips in your vehicle to keep it running.

Surge Protection For Your Vehicle

I want the best odds to keep my vehicle systems functioning so that I can make it home, or wherever I’m heading now or later.

Sometimes we travel on long road trips. Sometimes pulling a camper. This additional protection sure helps with peace of mind. Although the odds of an EMP event may seem low (but highly impactful), close-by lightning strikes are much more likely, and can also be very impacting…

You might think that your vehicle is like a Faraday cage and that you’re protected. Well, that might only be partially true. There are “A LOT” of “it depends”… Plus, how much plastic is in today’s vehicles? There are lots and lots of openings where EMP / high-voltage surge could get in and potentially cause electronic systems damage.

This is where EMP Shield comes in. I have been promoting them for a long time. And for good reason. They have been very successful in the EMP & Lightning protection arena and are well certified.

Listen, right up front I’ll tell you it’s not cheap. That part is up to you, whoever you are reading this. However I do recommend consideration to vehicle surge protection as added insurance to keep the wheels rolling down the road.

How To Install EMP & Lightning Protection For Your Vehicle

The installation is simple. Three leads, Green, Red, Black. Green goes to chassis ground. Red to positive battery terminal. Black to negative battery terminal. The video above shows the surge protection device and where and how they mounted it in the engine compartment.

How Does EMP Shield Work?

This is what I really like about EMP Shield. The device begins “clamping” in 0.5 nanoseconds, fully clamping by 1 nanosecond (10⁻⁹ second)! Theoretically that’s fast enough for the worst E1 pulse of an EMP.

The EMP Shield can see and protect all the electronics and equipment connected to your electrical system:

This is accomplished by shunting (shorting) the over voltage coming in…the EMP Shield will see the surge and protect your electrical system.

Since the shunting is completed incredibly fast (500 trillionths of a second), the over voltage is pulled away from the equipment before the voltage can rise high enough to damage any equipment. We call this new technology SightSpeed™ and it ensures no heat is generated within the electrical system which protects all electronics connect to the system.
